This Anthropologie clutch (similar here) is the perfect spring/summer accessory and
I found it on sale, so I clearly couldn't say no!

This week was filled with lots of ups and downs. I came down with a case of the Mondays and it totally threw me off (I usually welcome Mondays and the fresh start). But I am back on track now and can happily say that my week wasn't affected too much by the rough start. I am, of course, looking forward to this weekend, especially since we are going for dinner at one of my favourite restaurants! I'm sure it will be just the thing I need to make sure next Monday starts off on the right foot!

I've recently discovered that using a french press is a quick and easy way to froth milk
(other ideas here), and now I make tea lattes (too much) at home as a nice
afternoon treat.
Besides my favourite clutch, I have been loving these gold detailed boots from target
(similar here). I had been wanting to try shorter boots and since the price was
right I couldn't pass them up.
I picked up this stocking holder on sale after Christmas. I was about to pack it away with
my other decorations, but decided to keep it out and use it as a hook for my
Sugar Paper calendar! It works perfectly and who doesn't
 love some owl details?

Inspired By..

1. One of my favourite articles so far about how Canada has already won the Olympics.

2. The latest issue of InStyle is full of spring inspiration, which is very needed with this long winter.

3. As I enter my mid to late twenties, this article really hit home.

4. Beyonce's new album, need I say more?

5. One of my favourite bloggers started a workday wardrobe series and it sure has given me some great ideas!

6. A fun rope braid tutorial that is actually quite easy to do yourself.

Happy Friday everyone, I'm glad its finally here! My days were all mixed up this week because of the holiday on Monday. Needless to say I'm glad it's the weekend and I'll be spending mine relaxing and enjoying some yummy meals with friends. I hope you all enjoy your weekend too!

Who What Wear

For a while now I have been thinking about doing a series like this. I think deciding what to wear to different events/locations/outings is always one of the things I struggle with the most (I know my boyfriend could comment on that...). So I thought why not combine the two and make a series that hopefully will help not only me, but you as well! So here goes the first who, what, wear.

WHO: A trip to NYC is truly for anyone and everyone. I feel like there is so much to do and see that this great city really does appeal to everyone. The few times I've been lucky enough to go have been with the boyfriend or with my best friend (who now conveniently lives there!). Both times were so great and so much fun. I love having a smaller group or just a twosome so it makes it easier to plan and do exactly what you want.

WHAT: How do I even begin to choose the "what to do" in NYC? That's a pretty hefty question! I decided to stick with the Natural History Museum. We ventured to this museum last spring and I loved it. I love exploring new places, but by no means do I understand art (I so wish I did). But the Natural History Museum appeals to everyone, I mean who doesn't love animals? So take a morning or a rainy afternoon like we did, and go explore! It's also located in a great location on the Upper West Side with lots of cafes and restaurants around for a bite to eat after!

WEAR: Since it is still very much winter here, I figured I'd put together a winter look. I love the idea of a leather jacket and layering a big scarf to keep warm. This way it's easy to strip down layers if you get warm while walking the museum. I'm also a big fan of a cross-body bag for exploring. I think it's such an easy way to explore a city, or this case museum, because you don't need to be holding your bag and can have your hands free.

Weekly Favourites

Happy Valentines Day Everyone! I hope you all have some red and pink on today, or have lots of goodies ready to eat! Tonight we are leaving for a little weekend vacation and I couldn't be happier! Sometimes it's just so great to get away from the usual weekend activities and try something new. Until then I figured I'd share a round up of my favourite things from the past little while. This is definitely a 'beauty' edition of my weekly favourites, but I figured it was perfect timing to get that great Valentines Day look!

1. This Philosophy cleanser is definitely my favourite cleanser that I've ever used. Not only does it cleanse your face, but it removes makeup so well. I loved it too because it's a good mid priced cleanser, it won't break the bank!

2. If you guys haven't heard of, or ever used NYX products, then you need to go (run) to a drugstore near you. I've heard some great reviews about their products over the past little while and decided to grab these lip creams to try it out. These things are amazing. The colours are so great and so bright. They last a long time and go on so smooth.

3. I was in the market for a new moisturizer a little while ago and decided to try this one from Korres. The thing I love most about Korres is that they use natural products. This moisturizer surpassed all my expectations. It hydrates your skin so well, especially if you have dry skin in the winter like me! It also gives a great overall glow to your skin, and I mean who doesn't love that?

4. Another skin care product I have been trying these past months is the Olay Cleansing Brush. I am a big fan of exfoliating, especially before you put makeup on. It just makes your skin so smooth and it really helps makeup go on better. I've always wanted to try one of these cleansing brushes, but didn't want to spend a lot on one until I knew the results. Then I discovered this Olay one and the price was right. It is a definite must for anyones skincare routine, trust me you will not regret buying this!

5. Finally, I've noticed lately that after a day my hair seemed to loose any volume it once had. I decided to try this volume foam and have loved the results. It gives your hair just the right amount of volume and it smells great too!
