I hope everyones week is off to a good start! Mine has already been way more productive than last week (phew) and I am looking forward to that productivity continuing to the end of the week. I think a restful and healthy weekend was just what I needed to recharge and more importantly refocus. Also, a few of the things listed above definitely helped kick start my week. Enjoy!

Spring Prints

I started this post as a Spring Wish List, but then I quickly realized that all the pieces I was lusting after were prints. So instead, here are some of my favourite spring prints. I love wearing prints in the spring. Whether it's throwing a printed top on with jeans, or having a fun printed shoe, you can never really go wrong. This dress from Joe Fresh is one of my favourites, and definitely one I'll be looking out for! I love that it's a classic stripe and can be dressed up or down depending on how you accessorize it. I also fell in love with these Zara pants. I left the mall the other day without them and now I regret it big time! I feel like that always happens to me! One thing I don't have to regret are these stripe flats from gap (last seen here) as I bought them a few weeks ago and I'm sure you can only imagine how anxious I've been to wear them! Seeing as there is still waist high piles of snow, I think I'll have to hold off on wearing them for now. Check out the rest of the printed pieces below, and hopefully one of them might make it into your closet!

Wearing A Leather Jacket

For a little while now my leather jacket has been tucked away, hidden in the back of my closet. This is in large part because I only seem to wear my warmest coat possible these days, but it's also because I'm stuck on how to wear it. I know this may sound silly but I always feel like my leather jacket never looks good when I put it on. I love the way leather jackets look on other people, but I always feel mine comes up short. Either way, I thought why not pull some inspiration from some of my favourite bloggers to help me figure out this leather jacket "situation". As I was searching around for some inspiration, I noticed that many people styled their jackets in three ways, casual, everyday and dressy. I think I'll start with a casual look (can't be that hard can it?) and hopefully progress from there! I'll let you all know how it goes...

I like how these casual styles make it seem easy to throw your jacket on and go. Pairing a leather jacket with jeans or even a simple dress is such an easy way to begin to wear it.  Adding sneakers and a sweater to the look make it perfect for a weekend outfit or when you need to run some errands.

These everyday looks combine dressier elements (skirts & heels), but then are dressed down once the leather jacket is on. I love this idea of wearing a skirt and layering a leather jacket on top to keep it simple for an everyday look. This is also a great idea for spring time, as the weather begins to get warmer, a leather jacket will be perfect for layering over skirts or fun printed pants.

Finally, unlike the everyday looks that are more dressed down, these looks are still dressy with the help of a leather jacket. The details in each outfit are primarily dressy, heels with a skirt and nice top. They add a leather jacket, but it still maintains that dressed up feel. This is a perfect option for going out at night or having drinks with friends, and a leather jacket will keep you warm during the cooler spring nights!

March To Do List

Well I can happily report that my January To Do List (it rolled in to February as well...) was pretty successful. I checked off all but one item from the list (my emails are still a mess), and so I figured I'd introduce the next set of "To Dos". So here is my March To Do List.

As we get closer to spring (hopefully... I'm so over winter), I always get the urge to clean out and organize my closets. It's a great time to bring all those lighter pieces forward and push the sweaters back (yay). I love switching things up and pulling out the pieces that I haven't worn in forever. It's also a great time to donate any clothes that you haven't worn in a while, or if you're like me clothes that still have tags on (I know so bad).

I've also decided that I want to find one good workout class this month. I've realized over the past while that I definitely get a better workout in when I'm being told what to do. I like when someone (even if they're on my TV screen) tells me what to do and I can follow along rather than trying to figure out how to use some of that gym equipment....seriously does anyone know how to use all of that stuff? Either way I want to try maybe a few local classes from yoga to boot camp and see what works best!

If you're near by in March then come on over, because there will (hopefully) be some baked goodies waiting! I actually really enjoy baking (hate the clean up) but yet I hardly ever do it. I usually put it off because I don't want a bunch of goodies sitting around my house for me and the boyfriend (who are we kidding, mainly me) to devour. I love baking but I love eating it all just as much. Either way I want to bake some treats this month and then drop them off with some friends and family, it's a win for everyone!

Finally, this phrase "Comparison Is The Thief Of Joy" has been going through my head non stop lately. I think a big reason for my "case of the Mondays" (last seen here) last week was because I lost sight of this. In our ever connected world it is so easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing. I know I'm guilty of it for sure. I love Instagram, but man it can bring a girl down some days! But that's when I need to remember this saying and keep in mind that everyone is different, and that you can't compare you're beginning to someone else's middle.

Have a good week everyone! I'm hoping this weather is only going to get warmer (wishful thinking?) so I can finally feel like a real person again and go outside for a bit!
